Rating & Reviews for Arabella Apartment Homes II
Overall rating
Happy to be here
It has worked out well so far and the staff has been helpful . It is also good to have lockers for packages
Management is great
Nicest people with here who actually care. Rooftop is really nice as well. Just wish the gym had treadmills.
NOT WORTH IT
When you're living in a building, the last thing you want to worry about is being stuck in an elevator. That's what happened to me. For the 2 years I've lived here, the elevator is not operational at least twice a week. And I dealt with it...did I say that I live on the 5th floor? So you can imagine going to the grocery and having to walk up 7 flight of stairs with bags (I park on the 2nd floor garage). Or having to postpone a surgery because you don't know if the elevator will be working. Well one morning, I got stuck on the elevator for almost 30 minutes. 30 minutes! On my way to work which I showed up late and had to use my own time to cover being late. I have asthma, so imagine if I had an attack on the elevator. The staff's solution to my unfortunate situation was to spend more money. Either break my lease (money to pack up and leave), move to a first floor apartment (money to pack and pay more rent for that apartment), or move to a sister apartment (money to pack and leave and pay more for another apartment). I've left 3 emails about this matter and have not gotten any responses back yet. It's been 2 months. So I guess basic amenities like having a functional elevator is not a top priority but yet we pay a whole heap of money for nothing. So if you don't mind seeing trash in the stairwell, smelling urine in the hallways and having to use the stairs ALL of the time, then go right ahead and waste your hard earned money. These days they act as though the basic amenities is just too much to ask for. P.S. I now have major anxiety going on elevators SMH
Honestly
Lived here for 4 years, seen it go downhill from there. Not necessarily the fault of management but more due to their lack of action. Owners don't pick up after their pets so expect the hallways to reek of feces and urine as well as owners leaving splats of feces for you to see anywhere that there's grass. In fact, there used to be grass along the sidewalk, now it's dark mush. Careful where you step. Parking on the street? It's a bloodbath, there's virtually no parking if you're coming home anywhere from 4:30 PM and after. You'll have to park a couple of blocks away or risk being towed if you park anywhere else that's closer to the building. Mail carriers always seem to have an issue accessing the building, so there have been times when my package gets canceled or not delivered appropriately. The place is relatively close to the freeway. But, at this point, that's the only positive thing about it. The price is not worth the lack of attention the building gets. Again, not necessarily the fault of management, it's difficult to get residents to change their bad habits, and management aren't our parents or the building police. They're busy too and have a job to do that's often not seen by residents. They're great at getting back to you and your concerns. It's the residents' lack of care that has become really disappointing and made living in the building a challenge.
